Mt Hood Training
A friend and I embarked on a Mt Hood training mission this weekend. The sun was out and our spirits were high, but wind conditions forced us to turn back half way up Palmer snow field. The extra pack weight from our snowboards was well worth it as we bombed down to the truck. To celebrate our alpine exertion, we partook of the patio at McMennamins Edgefield for beer, BBQ sandwiches and a cigar. Exhaustion and tranquility... the high country holds my heart.
