Thinking About: Yosemite
Every passing day brings these domes closer to my eyes and heart (road trip 8/16/10). The Scotsman John Muir lived in and wrote of this valley, calling it the "sanctum sanctorum of the Sierra", which seems to me about the highest praise one can give to a natural wonder. Photos and stories of this place have had a stirring effect on the soul. And a picture can never capture it fully.
